When two families arrive at a wedding venue on Palmetto Island, they learn that their weddings are double-booked… and neither party is willing to budge.

Will Ferrell is marrying off his beloved daughter and Reese Witherspoon’s arranging her sister’s wedding; misunderstandings help spiral things out of control. There’s a ridiculous scene involving a fake-looking alligator, but most of the accidents are funny and Nicholas Stoller keeps things somewhat grounded. The characters have their family issues and remain relatable.

A lively, perky cast is icing on the cake.
