THE ODDEST COUPLE EVER UNLEASHED!
California police detective Scott Turner (Tom Hanks) is suddenly saddled with a big, boisterous dog who’s the only witness to a murder.
If you happen to like Hanks and if you’re also a dog person, chances are that you might have a weak spot for this comedy; a lot of people did when it premiered.
The filmmakers do the best they can with the charisma between Hanks’s neat cop and the wild, slobbering Hooch. But Turner’s romance with a veterinarian is about as uninspired as the murder case.
