When Gorr (Christian Bale) finds a powerful sword and a reason to kill every god he encounters, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) gathers a team to stop him, including his ex-girlfriend (Natalie Portman), who’s turning into a different version of Thor.

The fourth film in this series continues on the freaky path that Taika Waititi began in Thor: Ragnarok (2017) – expect a lot of laughs, a lot of Guns ’N Roses on the soundtrack and familiar Waititi touches; to some degree a film for, and about, children, balancing sweetness and darkness.

Russell Crowe is having fun as Zeus while Bale makes his god butcher come across as a tragic Voldemort.
