TWO WORLDS. ONE HERO.

Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the hot-headed son of Odin (Anthony Hopkins), is banished to Earth, which becomes an opportunity for his brother (Tom Hiddleston) to seize power of Asgard.

The fourth film in the so-called Marvel Cinematic Universe shares ideas and references with its predecessors, and by the time a near-indestructible machine that looks like leftovers from Iron Man makes an appearance, it’s obvious that the concept needs fresher ideas.

Still, this is a fun, handsome 3D production with a game cast, especially Hemsworth who plays the hero with his tongue firmly in cheek.

Trivia: At various points, Sam Raimi, Matthew Vaughn and Guillermo del Toro considered directing the film; Daniel Craig was considered as Thor. Thor joined forces with Iron Man, Captain America and The Incredible Hulk for The Avengers (2012). Followed by three sequels, starting with Thor: The Dark World (2013).
