THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES, CHAOS ENSUES…

After escaping agents working for the King’s younger brother, D’Artagnan (François Civil) joins his fellow musketeers in Louis XIII’s attack on La Rochelle, a Prostestant stronghold; Milady (Eva Green) continues to offer seductive challenges.

The second part in this French Three Musketeers project begins right where the first film left off and ends with yet another cliffhanger where Milady plays a critical role. In between, we’re treated to romantic intrigue and action.

Handsomely produced, but it does very much feel like a middle chapter.
