R. Lee Ermey returned in the role of the evil sheriff and the film has the same sun-drenched look and sadistic tone as Marcus Nispel’s previous take.

The four teens in the leads are just walking flesh waiting to be carved up with a chainsaw – and that’s basically all that happens in this bloody, sloppy film.
