In 1907, a Swedish teenager (Otto Fahlgren) finds work in a mining district in northern Norway at the same time as a new manager (Simon J. Berger) is hired to increase efficiency.

Once again, director Nils Gaup explores power, conflict and working-class conditions in Sápmi during a historic period.

Based on a true story about a strike that resulted in great changes for Norwegian workers, this film is well staged but loses some of its tension near the end – and there’s never any doubt as to how this drama will unfold.
