HER STORY MADE HISTORY.
The real-life story of how a woman became obsessed with Richard III, had a hunch that his remains might lie under a car park in Leicester – and turned out to be right.
Sally Hawkins is excellent as a person who’s not always easy to deal with. The decision to turn a University of Leicester deputy registrar into a bad guy had legal repercussions a few years later, and the idea of having Richard III appear as a guiding apparition to Hawkins’s character isn’t entirely satisfactory, but this is still a charming tale.
Alexandre Desplat’s music score is good, even if it makes the movie sound like a thriller.
