THE RULES ARE BROKEN.

After the latest round of the Purge, a Texas rancher family and two Mexican immigrants (Ana de la Reguera, Tenoch Huerta) learn that there’s an organized, country-wide attempt to keep the Purge going after the deadline.

The fifth chapter continues after the events of the third film, abandoning urban settings for the Mexico border.

Mindless fun, as in the predecessors, but it’s frustrating to see a continued failure to dig deeper, settling for simple showdowns between superficially written characters.
