In 1942, the crew of a Norwegian cargo ship that’s part of a convoy headed to Murmansk are forced to make tough decisions as they are targeted by German submarines and planes.

The real-life Allied attempts to help the Soviet Union through an icy route serves as an exciting backdrop to a war movie where much of the story focuses on a power game between a captain who’s willing to take risks and his second-in-command who believes they might be headed for disaster.

Old-fashioned, but worth a look; thoughtful, with moments of tension.
