While traveling in Europe with his high-school class, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) encounters a watery threat… but a new hero (Jake Gyllenhaal) emerges.
The sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) has Spidey dealing with a potential new Avenger as well as trying to woo MJ… and learning a thing or two about how impressions can deceive. Sweet performances by Holland and Zendaya, an effective one by Gyllenhaal and attractive views from Venice, Prague and London.
The story may be on the silly side, but the 3D visuals, charm and action all deliver.
