THE HOLY TERROR IS BACK!
Deloris Van Cartier (Whoopi Goldberg) is back performing in Vegas, but reluctantly agrees to do her old friends at the convent a favor: pose as a nun at a struggling school in San Francisco.
This sequel is nothing but a quick, simple way to make a buck, inventing a very contrived reason for Deloris to appear as Sister Mary Clarence again.
We’ve seen this story in many other movies, but surprisingly, part of it was inspired by real-life events, and it helps to have Goldberg and Lauryn Hill in the cast; the 18-year-old’s voice was an eye-opener.
1993-U.S. 107 min. Color. Directed by Bill Duke. Cast: Whoopi Goldberg (Deloris Van Cartier/Sister Mary Clarence), Kathy Najimy (Sister Mary Patrick), Barnard Hughes (Father Maurice), Lauryn Hill, Mary Wickes, James Coburn, Maggie Smith, Jennifer Love Hewitt.
