THE DAY TERROR WENT LIVE.

A critically lauded dramatization of how the ABC sports team covering the Munich Olympics in 1972 ended up broadcasting the hostage crisis live to American audiences, putting immense ethical pressure on the journalists.

The film’s realistic depiction of events turns it into a minor nail-biter, especially if you don’t remember all the details, but perhaps many will feel like they’re missing things, stuck as we are in a control room with the ABC crew.

Leonie Benesch is good as a young woman who becomes the Americans’ path into the German psyche.
