Former UFC fighter Elwood Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) is hired as a bouncer for a bar in the Florida Keys; he immediately gets into trouble with local thugs.

This remake of the 1989 movie emphasizes its campy and outrageously violent aspects, marrying the style with the bone-breaking attitude of ultimate fighting. That includes adding one of the sport’s biggest names, Conor McGregor, as a grinning, bloodthirsty and completely insane talent-for-hire who goes up against Dalton.

Irresistibly crazy, with heavy punches, hungry crocodiles, sunbaked Keys locations and an appealingly tough Gyllenhaal.
