THEY DON’T COME BACK THE SAME.
The Creed family move to a small town in Maine where their house lies close to a pet cemetery that inspires terrifying rumors.
An improvement on the 1989 adaptation of the classic horror novel, thanks to a few good changes in the story and playful nods to Stephen King’s universe. John Lithgow and Jason Clarke are fine, but both movies struggle with what looks like conflicting agendas – an earnest desire to tap into deeper thoughts on grief while also delivering conventional, formulaic scares.
