During a Christmas visit with her uncle (Johan Rheborg), Nelly Rapp (Matilda Gross) heads into the mythical Black Forest to try to find out what happened to her mother.

The sequel to Nelly Rapp: Monster Agent (2020) has a new director, but maintains the same look and style as we delve deeper into the mystery of where Nelly’s mom disappeared. Along for the ride is the son of a woman Nelly’s father is dating, a boy Nelly treats as a nuisance.

Once again, Rheborg and Marianne Mörck’s characters provide entertainment; there’s also monster thrills for the kids and a bit of love for cheesy 1980s Swedish pop.
