MOSTLY ALL NEW JOKES.
Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen), the pride of the LAPD, has retired but is called back into action for an undercover assignment in a prison.
This third chapter offers a few bright ideas, such as a spoof of The Untouchables (1987), but it is largely a disappointment – and somewhat of a freak show, considering the participation of then-current murder suspect O.J. Simpson and former Playmate Anna Nicole Smith; it’s hard to ignore some of the tabloid headlines and focus on the movie.
Nielsen does what he’s supposed to, but the climactic Academy Awards showdown goes on forever.
