THIS SUMMER GO BLONDE!
This was the movie that presented Reese Witherspoon as a bona fide movie star more than able to turn a project into a cash cow. She is outstanding as the perky Beverly Hills blonde in pink who follows her ambitious ex-boyfriend to Harvard to study law, just to prove a point.
A well-worn fish-out-of-water formula has been enriched with a contagious optimism and joy, as well as amusing clashes between Witherspoon’s cute character and the strictness of academia.
A subplot detailing a court case that involves the law students is silly, but it’s hard to dislike such an affable movie (which has also come to inspire future law students).
