THE ONLY THING MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE MISSION IS THE ESCAPE.

CIA operative Tom Harris (Gerard Butler) is on a mission in Afghanistan when his cover is blown; now he needs to make his way to an extraction point in Kandahar.

An action story written by a former military veteran who served in Afghanistan, but there is nothing in this film that makes us believe that it was based on actual events.

Most of it is standard stuff, even if the filmmakers shift into higher gear by having several teams go after Butler, including Iranian and Pakistani agents; there’s also a good nighttime helicopter chase in the desert.
