Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

A LEGEND WILL FACE HIS DESTINY.

In 1969, Henry Jones (Harrison Ford) is about to retire when his goddaughter (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) suddenly appears, reminding him of a mission in 1944 when he fought Nazis over Archimedes’s Dial…

The fifth entry in the series came at a time when Ford was 80 years old – but his charm combined with Waller-Bridge’s cheekiness carries much of the film. It starts with that fast-paced World War II mission that’s so good it almost makes us ignore so-so de-aging effects; the filmmakers maintain much of the series’ lovable matinee feel.

Tighter editing would’ve helped; the third act is cheesy, but the last scene is a fitting goodbye for our hero.
