Berk is bustling with new dragons, but Hiccup and the villagers face a new threat in the shape of a dragon hunter who always seems to be one step ahead.

If the filmmakers were thinking of The Empire Strikes Back when they made the second film in the franchise, I guess that makes this one their Return of the Jedi. As visually gorgeous as the predecessors, but the story (including an animal-rights message) can’t match them, even if there’s plenty of action.

The dragon hunter (voiced by F. Murray Abraham) provides a touch of devilish charisma.
