THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.
1985, New York City; Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert), who found out back in 1536 that he’s immortal and was trained by a Spanish swordsman (Sean Connery), faces a dangerous enemy (Clancy Brown).
Not much of a hit when it premiered, but this action-adventure gained a cult reputation. Moving swiftly between the present and flashbacks showing MacLeod’s budding relationship with his mentor (a charming Connery), the film is messy and silly, with a loud and boring villain.
Still, it has enough eye-catching moments.
