A drama focusing on the relationship between Hitler and his chief propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, from the 1930s right up to their end in a Berlin bunker in 1945.

In an attempt to boost realism, the filmmakers weave archive footage into their portrait of a man who was devoted to the cause and his Führer.

Showing how various aspects of these monsters’ personal lives and work demand effective propaganda, the film’s emotional impact and constantly relevant, deeper message about the nature of dictatorships is somewhat muted by a mundane treatment.
