THE FUTURE FAVORS THE BRAVE.

The newly elected President Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) reaches out to the new Captain America (Anthony Mackie) and tells him that he wants to see a revived Avengers… but doesn’t realize that he’s manipulated by a dangerous, old enemy.

The fourth film in this franchise reconnects with The Incredible Hulk (2008) and features as its centerpiece a showdown between Mackie and a decidedly Fordian Red Hulk… but it isn’t the knockout it should have been. Both the story and villain are weak, action and visual effects uneven.
