ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME?

Best friends Frida and Jess (Naomi Ackie, Alia Shawkat) are invited to join tech billionaire Slater King (Channing Tatum) and his friends on a trip to his private island; initially seduced by the luxury, they soon realize something isn’t quite right.

Get Out meets Jeffrey Epstein in this clever and compelling thriller that marks Zoë Kravitz’s directing debut. At its best when the horrifying truth slowly dawns on us; loses some of its edge when it turns into a satisfying but simple revenge orgy, and the ending completely distances us from the discomfort that worked so well earlier in the film.

Still effective, with a good cast.
