THEY WENT LOOKING FOR A NEW LIFE. IT FOUND THEM.
Two decades after the events in Alien (1979), a group of workers at a colony are escaping to an abandoned spacecraft in an attempt to reach a faraway planet… but the vessel is not as empty as it looks.
A sequel that is refreshingly straightforward and uncomplicated when it comes to serving pure thrills, which it does consistently. Dark and terrifying, it aims to please everyone by not making a move without a reference to a previous entry in this franchise.
That lack of fresh ideas doesn’t help make the movie interesting, but its skill, cast and design are major benefits.
