A MOTHERF*&#ER OF A LOVE STORY.

Zara Ford (Joey King), who’s working as an assistant to a major Hollywood star (Zac Efron), is getting tired of not being appreciated… but then her boss and her mother (Nicole Kidman) unexpectedly meet and fall in love.

This romantic comedy starts amiably enough, with amusing moments (like the scene where Zara walks in on the lovers), a convincing charisma between Kidman and Efron and what looks like an ambition to dig a little deeper when it comes to the characters’ emotional issues.

But a pleasant cast is pretty much all the film can muster.
