A POP-TART WILL RISE.
In 1963, Bob Cabana (Jerry Seinfeld), who’s working for Kellogg’s, puts together a team to beat their rival with a new kind of breakfast pastry.
In his directing debut, Seinfeld took one of his standup bits and developed it into a whole movie. The story of how Pop-Tarts were invented is a fantastical adventure that rarely touches base with reality.
Considering the talent on display, it is a huge disappointment, cheerful but with few laughs, even if we do get a kick out of watching Hugh Grant as Tony the Tiger and a couple of wonderful Mad Men cameos.
