Stunt performer Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling) arrives on the Sydney set of a big sci-fi movie only to learn that the woman (Emily Blunt) he loves won’t forgive him and that the star of the film (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) has gone missing.

A loose adaptation of the 1981-1986 TV series that serves as a love letter and tribute to stunt performers, featuring numerous practical stunts that are guaranteed to hold your attention better than the story. Much of it looks like a long, over-the-top and delightfully explosive episode of a 1980s action series.

Very likable, endearing even in the case of Gosling and Blunt.
