Dune: Part Two

LONG LIVE THE FIGHTERS.

As House Harkonnen increases its control over the desert planet Arrakis, Paul and Jessica (Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson) are treated as potential prophets by the local Fremen.

A majestic follow-up to Part One that delivers more of the same: a beautiful and spiritual epic to die-hard fans of the franchise; a technically dazzling feast for the eyes, but with long stretches of religious mumbo-jumbo to the less enthused.

Starts out strong, with gripping action and an appealing romance between Chalamet and Zendaya, accompanied by Hans Zimmer’s enchanting love theme, but too much time is spent on messianic intrigue.
