The fourth film in this series is a prequel depicting how a future American regime decides to use Staten Island as the site for the very first ”purge”, pitting its people against one another.

The political satire evident in previous chapters is elevated to a new level and the purpose of the purge is now clearer than ever – cutting down working-class people of color.

As action-packed and appealing to our lowest instincts as the predecessors, but far from bright and the extreme hatred, racism and violence is depressing.
