In 1974, Hollywood producer Bert Schneider (Alessandro Nivola) tries to help Black Panther Party founder Huey P. Newton (André Holland) escape to Cuba, making it look like a movie project.

A classic example of a miniseries that should have been a film, which was also the original intention back in 2012 when the project was announced. Based on a Playboy article, it’s hard to believe what actually happened, but sometimes real life does resemble a wild caper.

Entertaining for most of the ride, with a fine leading performance by Holland, but its darker aspects don’t really hit as hard as intended.
